Meet the founders and lead therapists of Advance Therapy:

bullet Jennifer Corbin, MS., OTR/L

Jennifer Corbin is a registered and licensed occupational therapist with a master’s degree from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities. In the past seven years, she has been working with children assisting them to build independence in all daily living skill areas and teaching them to learn and use age appropriate social skills. Prior to becoming an occupational therapist, Jennifer earned a bachelor’s degree in recreation therapy. With this, Jennifer assisted people of all ages to develop play and leisure skills as well as develop friendships.

Jennifer is a guest lecturer at University of Minnesota graduate occupational therapy program for topics of developmental disabilities and auditory processing disorder. In addition to lecturing, Jennifer has presented on various topics to parent groups, school personnel and medical professionals.

bullet Jennifer M. Jensen, MA., CCC-SLP

Jennifer Jensen earned her master’s degree in Communication Disorders from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities in 2001. Jennifer is a certified member of the American Speech Language Hearing Association and is licensed by the state of Minnesota. She has worked with children with speech and language disorders since 1995 where she began her career at Fraser Child and Family Center in Minneapolis.

Jennifer has extensive training and experience with a wide range of disorders:

Verbal dyspraxia
Stuttering
Cleft lip and palate
Voice disorders
Hearing impairments
Cognitive-linguistic impairments
Auditory processing disorders


and interventions:

Picture exchange communication
Social stories
Lindamood-Bell programs
Sound-based interventions such as AIT and Fast ForWord.


Jennifer has a “whole family” approach to intervention by emphasizing communication skills that will improve family life.
